There are a variety of other names besides Street including Alley, Avenue, Boulevard, Drive, Grove, Lane, Row, Square, Walk, Place, etc. This is an empty block, and cannot be barricaded.

A narrow, winding street. The scent of hickory smoked bacon lingers in the air.

History

Bacon Row is a street in Fryerbank, yes Fryerbank. Constructed in 1912, it was intended to be named after the renowned scientist Francis Bacon. However, due to a typographical error, it was instead dedicated to Malty Brand Hickory Bacon. In protest to this apparent disrespect of a major historical figure, several drunks from a nearby pub set fire to several shops and used the burning wreckage to turn Bacon row into a giant griddle. They cooked several tons of Hickory smoked bacon on the road, before police arrested them (how the drunks wound up with several tons of bacon remains a mystery). Unfortunately, the blaze grew out of hand, and is contentiously blamed as one of the leading causes of Malton's second-worst disaster.

Even to this day, the scent of overcooked bacon fills the air at Bacon Row.
