SgtBop v. User:Evildemon989

SgtBop v. User:Evildemon989

Two certain templates were constructed. The copyright agreement was assumed. Another couple pages took on a very similar look... to the point that the source code was nearly the same, with all of the convenient page breaks the creator used to keep things neat. The angry creator demanded, and made sure, he was recognized. The templates were attacked by the angry creator. He realized the flaw in his plan. He was advised (after realizing himself) to come here.

Pages affected:

  1. Evildemon989
  2. User:Evildemon989
  3. Evildemon989/News
  4. Evildemon989/Current Mission

Please note, this has nothing to do with the in-game war between the two groups. I keep my in-game and out-of-game person seperate.

Sorry dude, but this is a wiki. People can take whatever code they want. By copyrighting code or any content on a wiki (or created on the wiki for that matter) would undermine the principles and values of it. The idea is supposed to be as open-ended as possible. However, attacking the templates of a user is very well vandalism. Do you have evidence of the vandalism in question?

I think you should simply just report the person to vandal banning, rather then arbitration. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 08:43, 5 June 2007 (BST)

Personaly I think we should go with the original copyright agreement. Also seeing that I wrote half of the document (funny though) I personaly don't see either case having merit. Arbys is probably actualy the way to go IMO rather then vandal banning because in short, I can't see any Sysop saying "Ok, we'll ban XXXX because he copied some code". If that happened then The Wiki Code Stealers would be in some trouble. - JedazΣT MC ΞD CT SR: 07:54, 5 June 2007 (GMT)
Oh, I mis-read what he put. Yeah, neither of you have a leg to stand on. Really. Be proud that someone else is using your code. I thought he attacked your code. Really, you should be reported to vandal banning if you attacked his template... ha.. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 09:00, 5 June 2007 (BST)
Yeah, I figured as much. Seeing as I calmed down now (I've had a very bad day) I see the error in my judgement. I just kept getting angrier and angrier about it. Man, I wish I could take the last hour or so back. Ah well, its in the public now. Can't do anything about that. I withdraw whatever complaint my half-asleep and rather unreasonably unhappy self made. All I can do now is hope that erases what an ass I've made of myself...
